Summit in San Jose: June 2013

On June 19, 2013, a summit took place in San José, Costa Rica to officially close the first phase of the Osa and Golfito Initiative (INOGO), as well as to determine the next phase of activity for the initiative.  This conference was led by the INOGO team composed of people from the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University, as well as Costa Rica and the counties of Osa and Golfito that comprise the INOGO study area.

The summit was attended by a distinguished group of people representing local communities, NGOs, the business sector, the public sector, academia, and others. Professor Bill Durham and Prof. Rodolfo Dirzo participated as INOGO Directors, and Mrs. Emily Arnold, General Coordinator, was also in attendance. Members of the field team were also present.
