DESCRIPTION:\nOn&nbsp;June 19, 2013, a summit&nbsp;took place in San Jos&eacute;, Costa Rica&nbsp;to officially close the&nbsp;first phase of the Osa and Golfito Initiative (INOGO), as well as to&nbsp;determine the next phase of activity for the initiative. &nbsp;This conference was led by the INOGO team composed of people from the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University, as well as Costa Rica and the counties of Osa and Golfito that comprise the INOGO study area.\n\nThe summit was attended by a distinguished group of people representing local communities, NGOs, the business sector, the public sector, academia, and others. Professor Bill Durham and Prof. Rodolfo Dirzo participated&nbsp;as INOGO Directors, and Mrs. Emily Arnold,&nbsp;General Coordinator, was also in attendance.
