Diego García Godínez is a graduate of the University of Costa Rica, with a degree in agroindustrial administration. He also has a certificate in forestry from the National University / National Learning Institute, and experience in non-formal education. Diego has lived in the region for more than 35 years, during which he has engaged with community processes and organizations such as the Development Association, ASADAs (community water management), federations, agricultural centers, youth associations, community security, local development councils of the Social Aid Institute, and consultative committees of the National Learning Institute. Diego has collaborated in the management plans of the region, municipal budgeting and planning, and local human development efforts.

Inspired by INOGO, Diego has created the Finca Integral Diversificada Lluviosa on his property. Diego is also the day-to-day manager of the farms that are a part of the Laboratorio de Palma project.
