At the presentation of the Plan Maestro de la Orinoquía, INOGO’s Associate Director Emily Arnold Mest was asked to share lessons learned from INOGO. Emily joined the panel entitled “Agriculture and Tourism: Sectorial Development for Orinoquía”, with representatives from local universities, the government, and Purdue University.

Orinoquía is a region of Colombia found in the eastern part of the country, that is poised for development of ecotourism, agroindustry, and improved well being for local populations. Focused on a development that will be productive, sustainable, and well-planned, the National Department of Planning has put together a masterplan for the development of the region.
